NC Beer Mile

Running is more fun with beer. We can’t think of anything that goes together as well as running and beer, so we’ve teamed up to produce NC Beer Mile’s 3rd Annual Beer Mile in Cary, NC. No longer do you have to sneak into the track at night with a few buddies, hoping not to get caught, chugging cheap beer and keeping time with your swatch watch. We’re moving to Bond Brothers Beer Co. in Downtown Cary for this special event and serving up beer, live music and lots of fun! Check out what went down last year.

World Record Flip Flop 1K

Join us as we attempt to take back our Guinness World Record for the Largest Flip Flop Run/Walk!  Last year we broke our own record with 805 runners and a group in Spain just broke our record with 845 people.  Get your friends and family and help us take back our record!  We will start entering the corral area at 10:30 am and the run will start at 11 am. Please make sure you are at Bond Brothers by 10:30 am!

NEW to 2017, Guinness is NOT requiring every 50 runners to wear a different color shirt!  This will greatly speed up the process of corraling the runners.

For more information, or to register for this fun event, check out the nOg Run Club's website.

Mid-Town Square Spring Festival

We are excited to announce the 2nd Annual Mid-Town Square Spring Festival! Come kick off NC Beer Month with an afternoon of supporting local artists, vendors, and a variety of delicious food trucks, followed by a free concert featuring the Mountain Goats at 5pm!

From Peter Hughes of the Mountain Goats:

The theme this time around is goth, a subject closer to my heart perhaps than that of any Mountain Goats album previous. And while John writes the songs, as he always has, it feels more than ever like he’s speaking for all of us in the band, erstwhile goths (raises hand) or otherwise, for these are songs that approach an identity most often associated with youth from a perspective that is inescapably adult. Anyone old enough to have had the experience of finding oneself at sea in a cultural landscape that’s suddenly indecipherable will empathize with Pat Travers showing up to a Bauhaus show looking to jam, for example.

But underneath the outward humor, there is evident throughout a real tenderness toward, and solidarity with, our former fellow travelers—the friends whose bands never made it out of Fender’s Ballroom, the Gene Loves Jezebels of the world—the ones whose gothic paths were overtaken by the realities of life, or of its opposite. It’s something we talk about a lot, how fortunate and grateful we are to share this work, a career that’s become something more rewarding and fulfilling than I think any of us could have imagined. We all know how easily it could’ve gone the other way, and indeed for a long time did.

Food trucks in attendance include: Zeke's Meats, Chirba Chirba, Fetch Hot Dog Co., The Humble Pig, The Tot Spot, Buddhalicious, The 13th Taco, Fuzzy's Empanadas, The Cookie People, and Fresh Local Ice Cream!

There will be several timed special release beers at Spring Fest. Details about beer releases will be announced closer to the festival date.

Any local artists and vendors interested in participating should send an email to info@bondbrothersbeer.com.
