Phase Two Preparations

Bond Brothers is ready to follow all the necessary recommendations from the CDC as well as our local government. The following is a list of measures we will be taking to ensure a safe and comfortable tap room environment.

  • We have opened our taproom and outside patio to the public.

  • Our hours of operation will be as follows for the first week of this phase.

    • 2:00-10:00 pm Monday-Thursday

    • 12:00-12:00 Friday and Saturday

    • 12:00-10:00 Sunday

  • Tables and chairs are separated to ensure a safe distance is kept between customers at all times. Please DO NOT move chairs or tables for any reason.

  • All tables will be cleaned between service. If you happen to see a table that needs cleaning, please let our staff know and we will take care of you.

  • We will have bus carts located on the patio as well as inside. To lesson the amount of contact, we ask that patrons bus their own tables and place dirty glasses on these carts.

  • Our staff will be wearing masks and gloves at all times. Gloves will be changed frequently as well as sanitized regularly using 70% Isopropyl.

  • We have removed all seating at the main bar and are utilizing this space for ordering only.

  • Any customer that approaches the bar, is waiting in line, or needs to speak with a member of our staff, is asked to wear a mask. If you do not have a mask, please let us know and we will do what we can to ensure you receive one.

  • Please acknowledge ALL SIGNAGE at the brewery. Our rules and procedures are in place to ensure the safety of our staff and ALL patrons. Please be patient and respectful as we navigate these new changes.

  • While waiting in line, please stand at designated markers and do not congregate.

  • We will have 2 lines dedicated to serving. Please stay in your lane and wait at designated markers until a bartender is ready to serve you.

  • Hand sanitizer will be available at the main bar.

  • Please follow all directional signs for entering and exiting.

  • We will also have a food truck on site every day. Please abide by the same rules when ordering from the truck.

  • Our Drive-Through will remain open and we still encourage you to take advantage of pre-ordering for pickup and/or delivery.

The most important thing to remember is that your safety and our staff's safety is our main concern. Please be considerate and patient. Everyone is eager to get back to normal but we must consider everyone’s concerns and fears and acknowledge that we are all in this TOGETHER. We are blessed with an amazing community and we want to keep everyone safe and happy. So, cheers to a safe and enjoyable “Phase 2.”

4/3/2020

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we have to take the necessary precautions for the safety of our staff and community. Recently, major health organizations are beginning to recommend that people who must leave their homes for any reason wear a “face-covering” in order to help flatten the curve.   You may see some of our employees wearing masks. This is strictly an extra precautionary measure to continue to help do our part to keep our community as safe and healthy as possible.

It’s important to remember that masks are an additional safety measure to the already standing social distancing recommendations of six feet. Please keep this in mind when visiting Bond Brothers Curbside Pickup and when receiving deliveries.

A delivery service permittee may also facilitate delivery through technology services that connect consumers and licensed retailers through the use of the Internet, mobile applications, and other similar technology.

(b)    Training and Payment. - Prior to making any deliveries, each individual delivering alcoholic beverages pursuant to a delivery service permit shall successfully complete a course approved by the Commission related to the delivery of alcoholic beverages. Upon receipt of a proposed training program from a holder of a delivery service permit, the Commission shall have 15 business days to approve, deny, or request modifications to the proposed training program. An individual delivering alcoholic beverages pursuant to a delivery service permit shall not handle or possess funds used to purchase an alcoholic beverage that is to be delivered, but may facilitate the sales transaction in a manner that does not involve taking possession of funds.

(c)    Age of Recipient and Notice. - An individual may only deliver alcoholic beverages pursuant to a delivery service permit to an individual who is at least 21 years of age and who immediately takes actual possession of the alcoholic beverages purchased. A delivery of alcoholic beverages in a package that obscures the manufacturer's original packaging shall have affixed to the outside of the package a notice in 26-point type or larger stating: "CONTAINS ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES; AGE VERIFICATION REQUIRED."

(d)   Limitations. - A delivery service permittee shall deliver alcoholic beverages only within the time allowed for lawful sales and consumption in the jurisdiction where the delivery is located. No delivery shall be made to any jurisdiction within the State that has not authorized the sale of the purchased alcoholic beverages. A delivery service permittee shall not deliver alcoholic beverages to the premises of another licensed retailer or more than 50 miles from the retailer's licensed premises. Only alcoholic beverages purchased for personal consumption and from a licensed retailer's existing inventory located on the retailer's premises may be delivered pursuant to a delivery service permit.

(e)    Scope and Construction. - A delivery service permit is not required for a common carrier lawfully transporting or shipping alcoholic beverages. Nothing in this section shall be construed as exempting the delivery of alcoholic beverages pursuant to a delivery service permit from the requirements set forth in Article 4 of Chapter 18B of the General Statutes. Nothing in this section shall be construed to require a technology services company to obtain a delivery service permit if the company does not employ or contract with delivery drivers, but rather provides software or an application that connects consumers and licensed retailers for the delivery of alcoholic beverages from the licensed retailer.

(f)    Penalties for Violations in Residence Halls. - Notwithstanding G.S. 18B-104, if a delivery service permittee commits a violation of this Chapter when delivering to a residence hall located on the premises of an institution of higher education the delivery service permittee shall be subject to a fine of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000) for the first violation, up to one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) for a second violation within three years of the first violation, and up to two thousand dollars ($2,000) for a third or subsequent violation within three years of the first violation. In any case in which there are two or more violations within three years by a delivery service permittee when delivering to a residence hall on the premises of an institution of higher education in which the Commission is entitled to suspend or revoke a permit, the Commission may accept from the permittee an offer in compromise to pay a penalty of not more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000). The Commission may either accept a compromise or revoke a permit, but not both. The Commission may accept a compromise and suspend the permit in the same case.

Social Distancing 3/16/2020

It is with the safety and health of our community and staff that we have decided to cut bar seating, taproom tables and chairs by 50%, to allow for more social distancing. Additionally, we will temporarily be transitioning to compostable cups. We will continue to monitor and adhere to the CDC recommendations and therefore ask that no one at risk or sick enter the building. Let’s do all we can to help flatten the curve.

Bond Brothers is a community hub. A place where friends can gather, reflect, and enjoy the company of others. A place where one can come and relax and forget about the struggles and troubles in their lives and focus on the positive.

We can’t, in good conscience, jeopardize the lives of others by not promoting social distancing. So, in addition, we will be opening up “curbside pick-up” starting 3/17/2020 in our front parking lot. Simply enter Cedar Street from Ward and drive up to Bond. Follow the signs and safety cones and a staff member will be there to get you what you need. This service will be available every day of the week from 12:00-6:00pm. If you cannot make it during that time, please email us at info@bondbrothersbeer.com and we will do our best to make special arrangements.

In order to mitigate waiting times, we ask that you go online to https://www.bondbrothersbeer.com/availability so as to understand what is available for purchase at curbside. All to-go orders are pre-packaged under sanitized conditions and will be handled with gloves. In addition, you can pre-order 24 hours in advance, online at https://www.bondbrothersbeer.com/pre-order and we will have your order ready and waiting for you (the following day), at a separate table, when you arrive.

We recognize that this decision may create challenges for our staff and our community, and we ask for your understanding as we respond to this unprecedented public health issue.

Sanitation Procedures 3/15/2020

In response to the Novel COVID-19 Virus, our staff is going to adhere to the following cleaning procedures in the taproom until directed differently by the CDC.

  1. Wash hands frequently for 30 seconds, at a minimum, using warm soapy water. The absolute best defense (as of right now), to mitigate the spread of this virus, is to wash your hands

  2. Do NOT touch your face.

  3. Wipe down counters, tables, chairs, door handles, frequently using a 70% Isopropyl solution, or a mixture of 1.4 oz of bleach to 32 oz of water. Each spray bottle is 32 oz up to the lowest ridge on the neck of the bottle.

  4. Tablet screens should be sanitized frequently. Do not spray the screen directly. Spray the 70% Isopropyl solution on rag first before wiping. Do NOT use the bleach solution.

  5. Continually check the bathrooms to ensure there is paper towel and soap at all times.

  6. Keep garage doors open as often as you can. This will allow for outside air circulation as well as eliminate the need to touch a door handle.

  7. If you are sick, please alert the manager on duty and do NOT come to work.

  8. When cleaning and picking up glasses, always wear gloves.

  9. At the end of the evening, wipe down all inside tables with 70% Isopropyl and all outside tables with the bleach solution.

3/14/2020

Thank you all for your continued support of Bond Brothers Beer Co. We are writing to let you know that we are very aware of the situation with COVID-19 and are doing our absolute best to prioritize the health and safety of our customers and staff.

Although we already maintain a strict cleaning schedule, we have increased the amount that we are sanitizing surfaces and other frequently touched areas.

We are fortunate to have a large outdoor seating area, and large garage doors which will remain open to allow for adequate air circulation, as well as minimizing exposure to frequently touched surfaces.

Glasses are cleaned and sanitized before every use.

We ask all employees and customers to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds, upon arrival, before leaving, and as needed during their visit.

Additionally, we have increased our production of to-go options for customer convenience.

At this time, Bond Brothers will maintain normal business hours and is following the current situation very closely and adhering to the recommendations by the CDC.

We ask that all customers and staff who are experiencing any signs and symptoms of illness, DO NOT come to Bond or any other large gatherings until they have fully recovered.

For more information, and what you can do to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, please follow: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html

Again, thank you all for your understanding and support. Let’s do all we can to continue to uplift our community and small businesses during this uncertain time.
